FDNY Commissioner Adds 32 Names to the World Trade Center Memorial Wall

FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker added the names of 32 members to the FDNY World Trade Center Memorial Wall at an event on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024.
These members died from illnesses related to the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center following the Sept. 11, 2001 terroist attack.
343 members of the FDNY died on September 11th.
Since the attack, 360 have died from 911-related health issues
The inscription on the wall, which hangs in the lobby at FDNY Headquarters, reads: "Dedicated to the memory of those who bravely served this Department protecting life and property in the City of New York in the rescue and recovery effort at Manhattan Box 5-5-8087 World Trade Center."
